Chef Ruchita Eranga has been in the hospitality industry for over 13 years with formidable experience in Sri Lanka and overseas. His expertise led to his receiving the prestigious MIGF Awards.
He has been cooking and honing his culinary skills since the tender age of 12 in his home kitchen with the best tutor he’s ever had – his mom. His favourite Sri Lankan dish has got to be the Red Rice Puttu as it is a healthy dish and so versatile that it can be enjoyed on its own or with many different curries and veggies.
Before Aliyaa, Chef Eranga worked in many famous restaurants and hotels, including Nadodi KL and Galle Face Hotel, Sri Lanka.
Inspired by his mum who instilled the love for cooking in him, one of his greatest achievements was starting out as a Trainee Chef and becoming Sous Chef in a renowned Sri Lankan restaurant away from home.
Aliyaa has been named Tatler’s Top 20 Restaurants, serving some of the best authentic Sri Lankan cuisine to all KLites.
